HERE’S THE STORY.
BY THE MAKER exists to create, craft, and capture work that reflects the glory of our Maker and displays the beauty of His creation.

We do that through creative expression and the work of our hands.
Focusing on photography, metalworking, carpentry, and design, we always aim for artistry and quality craftsmanship.
Founding Scriptures
“Come, let’s shout joyfully to the LORD, shout triumphantly to the rock of our salvation! Let’s enter His presence with thanksgiving; let’s shout triumphantly to Him in song. For the Lord is a great God, a great King above all gods. The depths of the earth are in His hand, and the mountain peaks are His. The sea is His; He made it. His hands formed the dry land. Come, let’s worship and bow down; let’s kneel before the Lord our Maker. For He is our God, and We are the people of His pasture…” - Psalm 95: 1-7a
“and he has filled him with the Spirit of God, with skill, with intelligence, with knowledge, and with all craftsmanship, to devise artistic designs, to work in gold and silver and bronze, in cutting stones for setting, and in carving wood, for work in every skilled craft.” - Exodus 35: 31-33

WHAT WE VALUE
-
The first thing that God did was create, and then from His love, He made us to do the same. He has generously shared His creativity with us by making us in His image. Each of us is uniquely gifted to create in ways that reflect His design.
(Genesis 1:1, 1:27)
-
We were crafted with care and character by God, so we aim to do the same. We don’t strive for perfection; we work with patience and intention, carefully shaping each detail of our work from beginning to end because excellence is in the process, not just the finished product.
(Psalm 139:13-15)
-
We are meant to live and work in community. We share creative ideas and collaborate, celebrating each other's victories and supporting each other through struggles, not leaving anyone to go it alone.
(Ecclesiastes 4: 9 - 12)
-
Clear communication is essential. We want to be authentic in our operations and hold each other accountable to do our best work. We choose to speak the truth in love and leave no room for bitterness or resentment. We are honest with each other, ensuring all hearts are clear before moving forward in unity.
(Ephesians 4:15)
-
We value work in tandem with rest. We live in rhythm to ensure we do not lose our love for the work we’ve been called to do or reach burnout. We prioritize health so we can continue to create for the King.
(Exodus 20:11, Matthew 11: 28 - 30)
