BY THE MAKER exists to create, craft, and capture work that reflects the glory of our Maker and displays the beauty of His creation while encouraging, empowering and resourcing other creatives to pursue the same calling.

We pursue this mission through creative expression and the work of our hands—focusing on photography, metalworking, carpentry, and design with a commitment to artistry and quality craftsmanship—while also creating spaces for creatives to grow, partnering financially with creative missions, and discipling creatives in both craft and calling.

My name is Lauren, and I have been graciously called to cultivate and steward By The Maker. 

I am a creative through and through, with a knack for administration. I am awed daily by God and His creation, finding deep inspiration in what He has made. I am a wife to my husband of over eight years, Billy, and we are building a life we love with Christ at the center. We own a small homestead with family, complete with our 11 chickens and our cat, Artoo. We love to travel and adventure, yet we find so much peace in quiet days at our home. We share a love for music and good food and are grateful for the marriage we have been cultivating.  

There is so much beauty in artistry and craftsmanship, and I am grateful to be able to share that beauty through the work of my hands, as well as partner with other creatives to empower them to do the same.

From photography and metalworking to design and more, BY THE MAKER’s purpose is to glorify God and reflect His design in everything we craft and do. 

We have been made, we have been called, and we have been chosen. What an honor to participate in adding more beauty to the world.
